Rohit Creates A History: Scores Third Double Ton:- Indian young cricketer Rohit Sharma created a history and he continued to go where no ODI batsmen has gone till date in the history of International Cricket. India is playing second one-day with Srilanka in PCA Stadium, Mohali where the Indian captain scored his third double century. This never happened and in November 2013, Rohit Sharma emerged as the second cricketer in the world to score a double century in ODIs. Last year, Rohit scored his second double ton at Eden Gardens against Srilanka and today he scored his third double century in ODIs.
Martin Guptill (237*), Virender Sehwag (219), Chris Gayle (215) and Tendulkar (200*) are the other batsmen to score double tons in one-day cricket. India scored 392/4 today against Srilanka in 50 overs. Rohit Sharma made 208 in 153 balls while Shikar Dhawan contributed 68 and SS Iyer scored 88. Srilanka needs to score 393 in 50 overs and is leading by 1-0 in the three one-day series.
