Lifetime Achievement Award : Kapil Dev

India's 1983 World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev was conferred the lifetime achievement award. The Indian legend received a standing ovation as he walked up to the stage to collect the award.

Kapil: Playing for the country was the biggest thing for me, not winning the World Cup. We had a good mix of experience and youth (in 1983) and we knew we could win the World Cup midway through the tournament. My advice for youngsters is - believe in yourself and don't cheat yourself.

International Cricketer of the Year : Kumar Sangakkara

Sri Lanka cricket legend Kumar Sangakkara, who had a fabulous 2014-15 in all forms of the game, was named the CEAT International Cricketer of the Year. Sangakkara, who retired from ODI and T20I cricket, won the award for the first time and became the fourth player from his country after Sanath Jayasuriya, Muttiah Muralitharan and Mahela Jayawardene to win the award.

T20 Player of the Year : Dwayne Bravo

Dwayne Bravo bagged the CEAT T20 Player of the Year award.

Bravo: IPL wasn't meant to be. Mumbai Indians were the better team and they deserved it. It is always good to enjoy life, fans are who we play for and it is my duty to entertain them. When I walk on the roads in India people don't ask me about cricket, it's only about dancing.

Bravo then went on to perform "Challo Challo," mentioning that it was specially for the Indian fans and the crowd broke into a loud applause. Bravo just loves the stage, doesn't he.
Young Cricketer of the Year : Deepak Hooda

Deepak Hooda, who took IPL 2015 by storm with his sizzling performances with the bat for Rajasthan Royals, is named the Young Cricketer of the Year. Sanjay Bangar, assistant coach on the Indian cricket team and head coach of KXIP, gives away the award.

Battlechat : Hosted by Ayaz Memon

Ayaz Memon is conducting a battlechat, discussing who should be the next coach of India - whether he should be an Indian or an overseas coach. Kapil Dev, Brett Lee and Dean Jones are involved in the discussion.

Kapil: Nationality is not important. it depends on how good the coach is. But, the question is, how would the boys in the team react? Language is important. That is the only issue I have (with a foreign coach).

Lee: I think the language barrier can be a big hurdle. But, a foreign coach can bring in different ideas.

Jones: As a head manager, the coach should be able to put everything together. A coach should be able to understand players and that takes time and trust.

Kapil: Sourav Ganguly wanted comfort. That's why he brought in a foreign coach. That's what I feel.

Batsman and Bowler of the Year : Hashim Amla and Rangana Herath

South Africa batsman Hashim Amla was named the CEAT Batsman of the Year while Sri Lankan left-arm spinner Rangana Herath bagged the CEAT Bowler of the Year award.

CEAT International Indian Cricketer of the year : Ajinkya Rahane

Ajinjya Rahane, who performed well in all forms of the game, both at home and overseas, is presented the CEAT International Indian Cricketer of the Year award by Sunil Gavaskar.

Rahane: Thanks to CEAT. I am really honoured to receive the award. Enjoyed batting throughout the IPL. Playing in Australia gave me the confidence to do well in IPL. Australia and England were both great tours for me. As long as I am playing well for the team, it does not matter where I am playing in the batting order.

Entertainer Lee :

Brett Lee is playing the guitar! Played two songs - What's going on and Summer of 69.

Rohit Sharma won the award for the special performance of the year.

Special performance of the year : Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma bagged the Special Performance of the Year awards for his splendid knockof 264 against Sri Lanka at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on 13th November 2014.

Rohit: It feels good to win the IPL. We started off badly, but to come here knowing we are champions is great. We cherish these moments. That knock (264), Duncan Fletcher told me that if I had started off quicker I would have scored 300. Cricket has changed nowadays and it is good for the game.

Most popular athlete : Kieron Pollard

The most popular athlete, based on fan votes, went to West Indian allrounder Kieron Pollard, who played a crucial role in Mumbai Indians' success this season.

Pollard: I started to play cricket because of the enjoyment I got playing the game. I always want to do as well as possible for the team. Big hitting for me is about keeping balance and being stable. T20s come naturally to West Indian players. (After MI's win), we had a good session in the bar to celebrate. Dwayne Bravo, that's one more champions trophy for me son."

Domestic player of the year : Vinay Kumar

Vinay Kumar, who was the first to lead Karnataka to back-to-back Ranji titles, is the domestic player of the year. He was the joint-highest wicket-taker in the 2014-15 edition of Ranji Trophy.

Vinay (also part of the winning MI team): It was a great feeling winning the IPL. The secret to the Ranji victories is hard work. We (Karnataka) have ruled the domestic circuit for the last two years. Each individual played really well and everyone is performing well. Iwant to thank everyone for supporting me, and to CEAT for the award. I dedicate the award to my wife. She is my greatest supporter.

Sunny speaks :

Sunil Gavaskar: I don't know about the original 'Little Master'. Hanif Mohammad was the original 'Little Master'. CEAT awards have been the hallmark of excellence. The ratings are such that objectivity is the key. The most important aspect is CEAT is the only corporate award to reward the players financially.

"Congrats to Mumbai Indians. You have made all of us Mumbaiites proud," adds Gavaskar.
The best of the best :

Who was the best of the best? A question cricket lovers cannot stop asking and answering. CEAT Cricket Ratings was born in 1995 to reward the best of the best. Clive Lloyd, Ian Chappell and Sunil Gavaskar helped the idea come to fruition.

MI are in the house :

The entire Mumbai Indians squad walked in and were given a huge round of applause. Dwayne Bravo and Pollard are seen talking to each other. Rahane is attending the ceremony with his wife. Dean Jones, who is hosting the event, welcomes everyone and we are under way.
