Magadheera, Domakonda and Reddy Rajulu dynastyIn a cinematic style the young Ram Charan is going to be the coronate prince for the Reddy Rajulu of the Domakonda forte on his engagement with Uppasana Kamineni the legal heir of this dynasty, in addition to be the heir of the head in health industry Apollo group. The engagement is likely to take place in the last week of November or December first week at Domakonda (Gadi) Fort in Nizamabad.

The historic wedding must be one of the rarest moments in the history because two families from diverse fields are culminating and developing a platform for their children future with mutual interests being handled very deftly.

Mega Power star Ram Charan Tej, also known as Cherry, was born on 27 March 1985 in Tanjavur to actor Chiranjeevi and Smt. Surekha. Chiranjeevi or Chiru  as fondly known by his millions of his fans across the globe is a great artiste of the Telugu film fraternity. Chiranjeevi also produced Rudraveena (1988), for which he won the National Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration. He has won 9 Filmfare Awards south, the most by any Telugu actor. Veteran director K. Balachander once commented Chiranjeevi has both Kamal Hasan and Rajinikanth in him. Not only can he do action, he can also act. Chiranjeevi was honored with the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian award. In 2006, he was presented with an honorary doctorate degree from Andhra University. He was also a philanthropist and the founder of Chiranjeevi Charitable Foundation, in 1998.

The superstar-turned-politician Chiru, founded the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) and was elected from Tirupati constituency and began a new innings in his career when he entered the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly as a member, in 2009. His versatility about the Culture and rich heritage is visible in all his moves. The most remarkable is when he sent a letter to the Justice Shri Krishna Committee about the Telangana divide is that History has a rich account of the Great Camaraderie, Mutual admiration, Love, Cultural Bonding & Linguistic Unity of Telugus, dating back to several centuries, transcending geographical barriers of what today came to be known as Telangana, Andhra & Rayalaseema regions. Except during the British Raj, all these regions were under the same dynasties and flourished culturally and economically.

And as for Upasana Kamineni, 22 years, is the granddaughter of Dr. Pratap C Reddy, Chairman and Co-founder of Apollo Hospital. She is the eldest daughter of Mr Anil & Shobana Kamineni, who are into the business of Infrastructure, Leisure and Healthcare. She is currently the Vice President of Apollo Chairty & Editor of B Positive, Lifetime WellnessRx International Limited, Apollo Group of Hospitals. Upasana has also carved a niche for herself in the healthcare division. And significantly Upasana is heading the charity initiatives of Apollo Hospitals Group, which is the third largest private hospital network in world. Upasana's forefathers were rulers of Domakonda Samsthan in Nizamabad district and one of the ceremonies was likely to take place in the ancient fort in the village.

Both of them studied together at the HPS in Hyderabad and their budding friendship blossomed into love which later with the consents of both families is due to culminate into marriage.

Cherry opens his heart about his fiancee Upasana. Talking to a private news channel he said Upasana was too sensitive towards animals and she brought up different varieties of animals with utmost care and protection. She got twenty donkeys and ten horses recently from Amala (Nagarjuna's wife), which were handicapped. He also says, his fiancee is a philanthropist. It is a known thing that Upasana is the editor in chief of the magazine, 'B Positive', which is being run by Apollo Group of Hospitals.

An artiste by profession, Cherry’s penchant for horse riding, is much visible in his stride in the box office bonanza entertainer Magadheera. In a bid to woo his fiancée and as a tradition of the Feudal lords, the young prince has bought a polo team - Two years back, my friend Chaitanya invited me to watch the polo match between the military team and his team since he knew that I'm passionate about horses. After I watched a few matches, I also wanted to get involved in the game. But I know it's a dangerous sport which requires a lot of practice and dedication. Moreover, I was busy with my acting career. But after a few months, Chaitanya and I decided that we wanted to take our love for the game a step further. I told Upasana about it since she loves horses and even owns four horses. She asked me to leave the rest to her. A few days ago, she came to me with a paper and asked me to sign on it and there you have it, I'm the owner of a polo team. Upasana did an excellent job, took care of all the paper work and made this happen.

As an honour to the lady’s background and to the dynasty of Reddy rulers of whose predecessors Anil Kamineni is, the much hyped engagement is to be held at the Domakonda Fort.

Domakonda Fort, one of the beautiful forts, with a blend of Muslim and Hindu architecture in Telangana, is around 100 kms from Hyderabad. Built at irregular intervals the fort has bastions both square as well as circular. Reports say this fort is a private property owned by Umapathi Kamineni, grandfather of Upasana. Domakonda was a samsthan under the qutub jahis and asif jahis. The fort is believed to be built by the Reddy rulers during 18th Century at a site where a fort existed earlier. The entrance to the fort reflects asif Jahi, influence. The place is built with Western architecture. The tainted paintings in the windows and the wooden architecture are very attractive. The fort has number of tall, round and square fortresses running all over its compound wall. There are two palaces and a temple complex inside the fort. There is a lotus pond in these palaces. Imitating the Kakatiya style of architecture the temple dedicated to Shiva was built. Domakonda fort is constructed by Reddy kings 400 years ago and the shiva temple outside the fort is built by Kakatiya kings

Domakonda is in the Nizamabad District, the Reddy Dynasty was founded in 1325 AD. The first of the Reddy clans came into prominence during the Kakatiya period. The Reddy chiefs were appointed as generals and soldiers under the Kakatiyas. Reddys were among the feudatories of Kakatiya ruler Pratapa Rudra. During this time the Reddys carved out feudal principalities for themselves. The Reddy feudatories fought against the invading Muslim sultans and defended the region from coming under Muslim rule. The Reddy dynasty that first rose to power came from the Pantakula or the Panta Vamsa Reddys. The Reddy chieftains who were feudatories to the Kakatiya dynasty became independent after the death of Kakatiya ruler Pratapa Rudra in 1323 CE and the subsequent fall of the Kakatiya empire. The Reddy rulers were scions in arts and culture, Errana, the translator of Ramayana, lived during this period. The dynasty remained in power till the middle of the 15th century and was supplanted by the Gajapatis of Orissa.

The village Kamaareddy name came from the ancestors of Anil Kamineni's great great grandfather Kaama Reddy Kamineni. Kamineni surname is famous in Godavari district of kamma community but this telangana Kamineni belonged to Reddy rulers.

Famous Domakonda fort is sprucing up to welcome the young hero and his Bride to be Upasana for the engagement, Upasana's parents performed the shanthi puja's in the fort, to mark the commencement of celebration.
