Ayurvedic Tips for Painful and Stiff Joints in Winter:- Winters are the hardest times for many. Many people suffer from joint pains and stiffness issues because of the cold temperatures and the old age. The winter season worsens the painful condition of the joints. Stiffness is the difficulty in the movement of a joint. Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gouty arthritis and bursitis of joints are the common causes for the joint pains. They can be differentiated based on the X-rays and blood tests. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease and it happens because of the Rh factor in the blood. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disorder found in elderly individuals with bone degeneration. Dr Lakshmi Varma K, Consultant and Advisor at LYEF Wellness said that all the functions of the body are controlled by three entities called Dosha.

Vata Dosha is responsible for the movement of the body. It causes difficulty in degeneration, pain and movements along with other musculoskeletal diseases. She said that the problems of vata increase during winter. Their joints will be stiff in the morning and they turn different in the nights. Apply some warm oil to get a huge relief. In case of gouty arthritis and bursitis, there should be internal medicines given to bring down the inflammation and the blood will get purified.
