Maruti Suzuki to Hike Vehicle Prices from January 2020:- Leading automobile leader Maruti Suzuki is all set to hike the vehicle prices starting from January 2020 on the account of the increase in the input cost. “Hence, it has become imperative for the Company to pass on some impact of the above additional cost to customers through a price increase across various models in January 2020. This price increase shall vary for different models,” said Maruti Suzuki in a statement. Maruti Suzuki is known for selling entry-level cars along with premium cars. The prices of their cars vary from Rs 2.89 lakhs to Rs 11.47 lakhs as per New Delhi ex-showroom prices.

Maruti Suzuki India witnessed a drop of 39.4% in its net profit in the earnings of the second quarter this year. The net profit fell down from Rs 1358.6 crores when compared to the second quarter of last year. This happened due to the higher sales promotion expenses and higher depreciation expenses. Also, the net sales of Maruti Suzuki declined by 25.2% and reached Rs 16,120.4 crores from Rs 21.551.9 crores. The results of the company for the quarter (July-September) and half year (April-September) FY 2019-20 have to be viewed.
