Reliance Aims to Manufacture 200 Million Smartphones in the Next Two Years:- Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) is capturing the Indian digital market and is exploring the expanding space. Reliance is in plans to manufacture a smartphone in association with Google very soon. Reliance Industries Ltd is in plans to make 200 million smartphones in the next two years for Indians. RIL is in plans to compete with Xiaomi and others. The new Jio phone will run on Google's Android and it is expected to cost around Rs 4000. The smartphone will be a low-cost wireless phone from Reliance Jio. Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani announced long ago that Jio will manufacture a budget smartphone.

Reliance is in plans to build more domestic manufacturing and boost local assemblers likeDixon Technologies India, Lava International and Karbonn Mobiles. Pankaj Mohindroo, chairman of the India Cellular & Electronic Association told that they are in plans to build more domestic companies and fill the space in the country. The local manufacturing units will get a huge boost as per the target of Reliance Jio manufacturing 200 million phones in the next two years. On the other side, Bharti Airtel is in plans to build their own 4G device as per the reports. Reliance in July inked a deal with Google which invested 4.5 billion USD. Reliance Industries Limited got more than 20 billion USD investments this year. Reliance Jio has 400 million users and is the fastest expanding mobile network in the country.
