Gameloft a Paris-based mobile games development firm at its Hyderabad centre, also known as Gameloft India,has reportedly downed shutter on its India studio, were told to "pack their belongings and go home" in an afternoon meeting on Tuesday and, in the process, sacked nearly 250 employees without notice.
Moreover, the $200-million firm, which has over 20 development centres across the world, is traded on Europe’s Euro next exchange.When asked for a comment, a Gameloft spokesperson refused to confirm or deny the allegations at that point.
The HR manager told that the studio would be closing and that they would have to find jobs somewhere else while an employee said that some of them have been offered employment in other studios while most of them have nothing.
It may not sound anything new for us but an instant shock for the employees!
