Honda's First Electric Two-Wheeler Will Be An E-Moped:- The trend of electric vehicles has taken momentum in the country. The government is also offering various subsidies for e-vehicles. All the big players are now in the manufacturing of e-vehicles. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) are all set to enter the market. HMSI president, MD & CEO, Atsushi Ogata revealed that they are in plans to line up electric vehicles for the Indian market and the first one would be an e-moped. It will be launched in April 2023. Honda will divide them into three areas: Electric Bike, Electric Moped and Electric vehicles. EBs will have a limited speed of 25 kmph and there would be no registration for them.

EMs will have a top speed of 50 kmph and EVs will have a speed that is greater than 50 kmph. The Electric moped will be launched in April 2023 and then the EV will be released. Honda announced that their primary focus will be on petrol-powered commuter vehicles. There is a great rise in the usage of electric vehicles but Honda believes that the petrol powered vehicles will have their own market. Honda will focus on them for the next three years.
