ATM Violator Traced Down From Mobile Phone

Police have taken a person from Hindupur into custody in connection with the crime at ATM at Bangalore on Monday.

In a breakthrough in the case in which a person attacked Jyothi Uday, working as a Manager of Corporation Bank when she was withdrawing cash from ATM. The footage of the CC Cameras did not help much before the man is nabbed. Now the footage can be used as a proof for the crime as the suspect was arrested.

The actual help police got was from the mobile phone that was snatched by the assailant from the victim.  By tracing the calls made after the incident the police could narrow down to the tower of the service provider and on investigation further it was known that the mobile was sold to someone at Hindupur in Anantpur district.

After locating the person who bought the phone, the police could nab a person at Hindupur following the description given by him.  Police are investigating the case further.

The 38 year old woman who was attacked in the ATM on a main road in Bangalore was admitted in the Victoria Hospital first and later shifted to Nimhans and to BGS Global for better treatment at Kengeri. The victim’s skull was fractured as a result of which a small piece of bone has penetrated into the brain.  She is recovering from the surgery now and able to talk.
