CM launches new emergency service

Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy inaugurated the centralised  'Dail-100'  at the GVK Emergency Management and Research Institute (EMRI) at Kompally on Telugu New Year eve. This Centralised system works like '911' in the United States and enable the police to reach complainant within minutes.

People from anywhere from in the state can lodge a complaint by dialling the toll-free number '100' from anywhere from mobile phone or a landline which will be manned by the police department.

CM Kiran Kumar Reddy said "people no longer need to go to police station to lodge a complaint. The police will come to your doorstep".

Calls made to the helpline will first reach the call centre at Kompally, police personnel will note down the location and pass the call to the dispatch officer. The police will also use Geographic Information System(GIS) and GPS to speed up the process. The calls will be recorded by an Interactive Voice Record System.

The facility is a joined venture of State Police and GVK EMRI. The GVK EMRI provides the call centre and technical support to the police in this facility.
