Govt keen to solve weavers' problems

Chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has said that he would strive for the uplifting of hand weaving community in the state.  CM even convened a high level meeting at secretariat on Monday over the same. Minister Prasada Kumar has said that the government would soon set up a special bank in order to give loans to the hand weavers. Further, he mentioned that all steps are being initiated to increase loan limit to Apco.

The political analysts have said that Congress was apparently trying to attract the down trodden weaving community as YSRC was reportedly trying to gain the sympathy of hand weavers in the state. It is known that YSRC honorary president Vijayalakshmi recently staged a protest in support of hand weaving community.
