More medical seats in T region: Lagadapati

Lagadapati Rajagopal puts forth a poser to KCR over medical seats. On Sunday the Congress MP who is known for controversial statements created a fresh hue again with an open letter to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao. According to Mr Lagadapati, the number of medical seats in the Telangana region are more than any other region in the state. He further said that he had documentary evidence of the same. Adding that he would resign, if proven wrong.

It may be noted earlier TRS Leader Vinodh lamented that the state and the central governments are showering step motherly treaments on the Telangana region. He said that while the hike in quota of medical seats for six colleges in the undivided state were recomended to the centre. However only three colleges from the seemandhra region got the hike in the quota, while prestegeous institutions like the Osmania, Gandhi and Kakatiya were deprived of the hike, by the Medical Council of India. The senior leader questioned the disparity in allocating the medical seats quota hike.

The leaders from both the Seemandhra and Telangana regions, in the Congress, who are already at loggerheads over release of water from Nagarjuna Sagar dam to the Krishna delta, have stepped up the verbal attack on one another in the wake of a fresh row over non-allotment of additional medical seats to the Telangana region, early last week.
