Pregnant Women With High BP Are Susceptible To Heart Disease:- Researchers warn that pregnant women who experience high blood pressure during pregnancy have more chances to develop heart failure or heart related diseases in the future. The research has been published in the Journal of the American Heart Association. All those women who experienced high blood pressure when they are delivering their first child are at a 45 percent higher risk to have cardiovascular disease. Dr Clare Oliver-Williams from the University of Cambridge in the UK said that they have conducted detailed research after which the news was published.

The research also said that 1-6% of pregnant women from the western countries are experiencing high blood pressure. The study also said that the blood pressure returns back to normal after the delivery. Such condition is known as gestational hypertension which is generated due to pregnancy-induced hypertension. Women with gestational hypertension are likely to develop heart-related issues. A systematic review was conducted by a team of international researchers in 3.6 million women.

The women with gestational hypertension were at 46% risk for heart diseases compared to women with normal blood pressure. But the research did not get a clue on why women with gestational hypertension are likely to get heart diseases.
