Mercedes Benz to turn all Electric by 2022:- Mercedes Benz which happens to be one of the biggest manufacturer of premium cars across the globe announced that it will have battery electic vehicles (BEV) starting from 2022 in all the segments. Mercedes Benz also announced that all the newly launched vehicles will be electric-only from the year 2025. The customers will have a chance to choose an all-electic alternative for the every model that will be made by the company. It also announced that they will launch three electric-onyly architectures. Mercedes Benz is expected to have battery electric vehicles in all the segments by the end of the decade. The luxury car maker is keen to shift from electric-first to electric-only vehicles for an emission free and software driven future for the world.

Mercedes Benz is also in plans to set up 5,30,000 charging points across the globe and the total investment for the battery electric vehicles that will be produced between 2022 and 2030 is expected to be 40 billion euros. Mercedes Benz took this call considering the current trend and their predictions say that the markets will switch to electric-only by the end of this decade. Ola Källenius, CEO of Daimler AG and Mercedes-Benz AG told "This step marks a profound reallocation of capital. By managing this faster transformation while safeguarding our profitability targets, we will ensure the enduring success of Mercedes-Benz. Thanks to our highly qualified and motivated workforce, I am convinced that we will be successful in this exciting new era" in a statement.
