A New Policy to Benefit the Children of H-1B Holders in USA:- The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) chalked out a new plan and policy for the children of the non-immigrant visa holders in USA so that they can shift from F-1 student visas. This would benefit the children of thousands of H-1B visa holders in the United States of America. The applicants had to maintain the status up to 30 days in the past and they are asked to file multiple via extensions so that they do not have any gap in their status. To prevent the gaps, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services will grant the change of the status. The applicants can change the status to F-1 after the Form I-539 application is approved. The students must not violate their F-1 status during this time told the update.

The move will reduce the workload along with the costs for both the applicants and the USCIS. This will also provide a huge relief for the students and children of backlogged skilled immigrants. “USCIS does away with burdensome 'gap' status applications when one changes to F-1. This will provide some relief to children of backlogged skilled immigrants who age out, although the optimum solution is to get rid of per-country limits and add more visas,” posted Cyrus Mehta, Immigration Attorney on his official twitter page.
