Half A Lakh Indians Approved For US Citizenship In 2017:- With the new rules imposed by Donald Trump's administration, USA turned out to be a nightmare for many Indian aspirants. It is quite tough to get US citizenship in these days. The percentage of Indian natives getting US Citizenship last year got increased by 10%. 50,802 Indians became US citizens last year and stood next to Mexico which saw 14% growth during 2017.
According to a report in The Times of India, the largest numeric increase in naturalization occurred among immigrants born in Mexico (increase of 15,009, or 14%), India (4,614, 10%) and China (1,880, 5%). This is based on the data released by US Department of homeland security. US President Donald Trump is in plans to cap the number of refugees settling in USA at 30,000 next year. Compared to the previous year, 4600 more Indians got US Citizenships in 2017.
