Indians Need To Wait Long For Green Card:- Indians residing in USA have been facing tough time after Donald Trump took charge. The immigration rules have been tightened and the unskilled workers will soon have to make it back to the country as per the news rules imposed. The waiting for Green Card has been increasing every year as the Indians flying to USA have been increasing every single year. Now as per the latest update, Indians who have been aspiring for Green Card needs to wait for more time now. A lengthy 12-year period is said to be the waiting time for Green Card.
Green Card is known to be the permanent residency for all the skilled employees flying from other countries. The new report says that the waiting time is too much as there have been lot of Indians waiting for it. India is one among the top countries whose residents have Green Cards of USA. As per the report in 2015, about 36,318 Indians updated their status of permanent residency while 27,798 have been in the list of new entries for Green Card status. This current waiting list is something a long wait revealed many aspirants who have been residing in USA. The update is that the US government is now processing the applications that have been filed in 2005 which is something shocking.
A research said that during 2010 to 2014, about 36% Green Cards have been granted to H-1B Visa holders. The count is said to be over 222,000 during the time. Green Card makes a citizen of any country to stay in USA and work permanently in USA for the rest of the life. And the biggest news is that the US citizenship can be applied after five years of getting the Green Card from the US government. USA issued more Green Cards to the immigrants living in the country on another visa who have adjust their legal status than on the new arrivals.
With the huge rise in the Indians aspiring for Green Cards, the rules have been tightened and now most of them have been left in rethinking mode. Donald Trump after taking charge as the US President revealed that he would tighten all the rules of immigration. He also revealed that the skilled workers will have enough scope to work in the country despite of tightening the rules. Anyways, most of the Indians will be disappointed.
