US Call Centre Scam: Two Indians Guilty

US Call Centre Scam: Two Indians Guilty:- A massive telephone impersonation fraud created a sensation in USA and two American Indians are said to have involved in this crime. They have been announced guilty to the charges of their involvement in the call centre scam in the US by the Indian based call centres. Bhavesh Patel, a 47-year old Indian who stays in Arizona along with his friend Asmitaben Patel, a 34-year old from Illinois have been announced guilty in the crime. They agreed to have committed the money laundering offences along with committing fraud. The department of justice announced them guilty in the fraud.

A total of eleven defendants have pleaded guilty thus far in this case. The court is yet to announce the sentencing dates in the case. Bharatkumar Patel, Ashvinbhai Chaudhari, Harsh Patel, Nilam Parikh, Hardik Patel, Rajubhai Patel, Viraj Patel, Dilipkumar A Patel and Fahad Ali previously have been announced guilty during April and June this year. Bhavesh Patel and Asmitaben Patel along with their teams have been into telephone scam based in Ahmedabad, India. Faking themselves as from the IRS and US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), they managed to call US citizens to grab money.

They agreed that they got the data from the brokers which helped them make thousands of calls. They used to threaten the US customers of arrest and jail if they did not pay the alleged payments now that they owe to the government. Once after they convince them, the call centre officials used to guide them how to make the payment with some specific instructions. Once the payment is done, the call centres always turned to a network of ‘runners’ based in USA to liquidate the amount. Through this process, Bhavesh Patel and Asmitaben Patel are said to have earned millions of dollars. After they have been spotted, a team of investigative officers took over the case and finally Bhavesh Patel and Asmitaben Patel have been proved guilty.

The cops are still in process to identify if any more scams and people are involved in the case. The final sentence for Bhavesh Patel and Asmitaben Patel is expected to be out this month. US laws are strict for such cases and the frequently gained amount is being verified. All the bank accounts have been blocked as per the news. Bhavesh Patel and Asmitaben Patel are said to have been settled in USA years back.
