Ek Tha Tiger Box-Office collections cross the 190 Cr mark

Salman Khan Ek Tha Tiger, from Kabir Khan, had been making it to the news ever since its release. Maybe the story was not as interesting but the hype it created and the collections it reaped from the box office are among the highest in the movies. This has not taken the slot right behind 3 Idiots for its all time highest grossing movie. Intelligent release with the genres of Romance, Action, Thriller and a release date falling on the Independence Day had helped it create more hype than ever.

With a story based on a RAW agent and falsified news that ISI was also involved had set the expectations extremely high for the movie. With its release in the most appropriate time on the Independence day and right before Ramzan had resulted in soaring figures. Creating new records in just 9 days of its release, the response for the movie was nothing short of chimerical.

It released in 3300 screen all over the world. First day collections were Rs 32.93 crores and after just 9 days the collections were as high as Rs 154.21 crores. This is still short of the collections for Aamir Khan 3 Idiots which stood at 202 cr and hence took the second place.
Sallu-mania has not yet ended, the film has now a total box-Office collections of Rs 191.67 crores worldwide. With the trend of the figures it looks like it is only a matter of time before it take the first place as the highest grossing movies in India of all time pushing the Aamir Khan starred under it.
