Sanju (Sundeep Kishan), a software engineer, looses his job due to recession. But having his sister’s marriage responsibility, he takes a hand loan from a baddie Vaddi Raja(Bobby Simha).

But as time passes, Vaddi Raja gets irritated with Sanju’s delay in paying the money and then warns him to pay back the entire money by the end of the day. During this time, Ammu (Anisha Ambrose) escapes from her house and joins Sanju. How the male lead solves the problems and come out of the clutches of Vaddi Raja is rest of the story all about.

Run Analysis

Run Movie Review and Ratings

Though the plot is simple, the several twists and turns in the film, makes one wait eagerly for the proceedings. The way the characters are connected to the main plot would be interesting to watch. The first half of Run is crisp with decent comedy and enough twists.

Coming to the second half, the tempo of the film drastically comes down, due to the inclusion of several unwanted episodes, along with a song featuring Mahat Raghavendra. The climax appears bit clumsy, due to the too many of the unwanted characters entering onto the screen.

Performance

Sundeep as a frustrated guy in the film, seems acquired bit maturity in the acting levels. His ease on the screen can be felt clearly. On the other side, Anisha Ambrose, has nothing much to do, especially in the second half. Her on screen chemistry with Sundeep is purely a blunder. Brahmaji as Padmavati delivers hilarious comedy. Rest other characters have done a decent job.

Background music by Sai Karthik is outstanding and even a few of the songs are soothing. Dialogues are apt and production values are rich. The brilliance in camera work, made the movie appear lively and crisp.

Director Anil Kanneganti, has handled the remake movie and has given an average performance. Though the essence of the original was lost, he has still managed to set the story in the Telugu nativity. Slight changes in the second half, would have made Run, a better film.

Run Final Word

A simple plot with several twists and turns, would not at least make one look towards the exit doors up to the first half. Don’t ask me about the second half.
