It seems, Pawan Kalyan suggested Chiru, not to opt Katthi and move forward with a new subject for 150th film.

Though Mega Star Chiranjeevi is spotted in a short role after a long time in Bruce Lee movie, that could not help the movie to go on a success route. Now, more than Ram Charan’s career, Chiranjeevi is worried about his own landmark movie.

As 150 is a magical number, and that too, the movie is considered as a comeback of Chiranjeevi into the films, a lot of hype was created on it, for quite some time. Reaching those expectations has now turned as a big hurdle to the Mega Star. He is continuously involved in listening to the right script.

Once in the past, it was heard that, Pawan Kalyan was consulted by the makers, to act in  Tamil super hit film Katthi. But though Pawan liked the movie, he thought that, it would not suit to the Telugu nativity and so rejected the proposal.

After Pawan rejected, Chiranjeevi thought of remaking Katthi, under Vinayak’s direction, as the duo earlier scored a blockbuster remaking Tamil movie Ramana, with the title Tagore.

But after Bruce Lee failure, Pawan Kalyan approached Chiranjeevi and reportedly suggested to opt a new script, as it is a landmark film. Pawan Kalyan is currently supervising Ram Charan’s new movie script and after that, he would even involve in the script discussions with a few of the top directors in Tollywood for Chiranjeevi’s 150th film.   

Meanwhile, Varun Tej, who is open to the experimental films and proved that with the recent success of Kanche, is considering to act in Katthi movie remake. But as the subject is big and Varun Tej is still in the process of building up his career, the makers are stepping back.

If at all, Loafer movie, being the commercial entertainer, gets a good success, there would be possibilities for Varun Tej, to be cast in Katthi remake in Telugu.
