When a term called visual wonder was coined in Tollywood industry after the arrival of Baahubali, many treated even Rudramadevi to be a visual wonder too. But collapsing all those rumors, Rudramadevi movie director Gunasekhar said that, his movie is not a visual wonder, but a historical epic drama.   

With this statement, one can understand that, Rudramadevi is not going to show anything, which is supernatural, but strictly showing the history of Rudramadevi in a filmy type drama, using huge sets and high quality fight sequences.

It seems, Gunasekhar do not want his movie to be compared with Baahubali, as he might have felt, that would unnecessarily increase the expectations. However, unlike Baahubali, Rudramadevi character has been already popular and well known to the public.

There itself, it implies that, Rudramadevi movie is not going to show something which is not known to the world, but is showing that, which everybody is aware of it, but, in a new approach.

When director Gunasekhar was asked about Baahubali influence on Rudramadevi movie, he said, “Baahubali proved that, when a movie is made with high technical values, its reachability can be bigger than anything. Baahubali proved the stamina of Telugu cinema and increased the market. That was a good sign to Rudramadevi movie too, and we are confident that, even our film can live up to the high standards and secure huge success.”

Rudramadevi is gearing up for release on October 9th in both the Telugu states and also in Bollywood. Hope the movie redefines the Telugu cinema stamina after magnum opus Baahubali.
