Viswaroopam: Apex court call for amicable settlement

In spite of having the film screened on Sunday, the Tamil Nadu high court had requested the producer cum filmmaker Dr Kamal Haasan to settle the issue with the state government. The Judge on Monday had urged Kamal to probe ways to 'amicably settle' the issue with the state government over the release of the film that had been released across the globe on January 25, except in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

The actor who is just back from the US after releasing his film which has won rave reviews about the technical caliber is to meet the State government over the issue. The magnum opus from Kamal is a trilingual flick should have cost him Rs 95 crores and is sure to reap in rich dividends in spite of delay. However the delay would specifically cost him around Rs 30 crores say sources.

Based on the ordeals going on on home grounds even the screening of the film in Malaysia and Sri Lanka have been affected. In Lanka the release was differed while Malaysia removed the film from the screens after the first day of showing, following a Home Ministry’s orders.

However superstar Rajnikanth a close associate of the actor for the past four decades, assured the protesting associations that even in dreams the actor would do no harm to anyone. He also urged the groups to recommend the necessary cuttings without affecting the story board. (Wishesh AarKay)
