The fact is Dhanush’s maiden chart Kolaveri Di has rocked the `You Tube’ and ripped roaring profits to the providers.

'Kolaveri Di' tops charts, with more than 10 million hits online. Dhanush's popularity in wielding the mike is sky rocketing. The actor's unassuming voice is creating magic from children to senior citizens who are enjoying the latest song 'Kolaveri Di' crooned by him. Set to tunes by new comer Anirudh in Aishwariya Dhanush's '3.'

The popular song within a short span of time had over ten million hits on YouTube and had surpassed all previous benchmarks. Entertainment industry website Radioandmusic.com, quoting Techzone Director Naveen Bhandari said, ''Kolaveri has generated huge revenues and has become a success for Techzone and the telecom industry. Out of the total Bollywood download market, regional content is 25 per cent, but with Kolaveri Di we have achieved 40 per cent of the market.'' Mr Bhandari, however, indicated that the details about the revenues could be revealed only after a month.

The simpleton Dhanush expressed that surprisingly none from the Tamil Film Industry has spoken to him about the roaring success the song has garnered. “Nobody from my industry has spoken to me about the song… I haven’t got any recognition from my industry,” said the multi-talented actor. Moreover, he feels he isn’t a good singer. It was just by chance that he rose to popularity as a singer.  “I’m not a trained singer, I’m just a bathroom singer. I’m an actor first,” said the actor.
