Congress which has hypnotized and convinced mega star and PRP chief Chiranjeevi into accepting to merge his party with it now seems to be working to ensure that the pro-Telangana party TRS is also merged with it.

Going by the statement of the party senior leader of the Telangana region Mr K. Keshava rao, the merger of TRS with congress may not be far off. Reacting to queries on PRP merger with congress at a media conference Sunday evening in Hyderabad, Keshava rao hinted that TRS also would merge with congress if necessary and congress leadership would take necessary action in this regard depending on the situation.

Not surprisingly, no TRS leader till now has condemned or denied the statement of Keshava rao on the proposed merger of their party with congress. It may be mentioned that TRS chief K. Chandrasekhara rao also announced in the past they had no objection to merge their party with Congress if it came forward for the formation of the Telangana.  

Keshava rao said that they have suggested to the congress leadership many a time to work towards the merger of PRP with Congress so congress would not get weakened in the coastal region in case Telangana is announced.

“We have several times told top leader Pranab Mukherjee to ensure PRP merger with our party and the high command initiated steps in this regard resulting in the merger. Asked when the TRS would merge with congress, Keshava rao said it was too early to answer that query.
