Yatra 2: A Costly Attempt:- Yatra 2 is based on the after-death consequences of YS Rajasekhar Reddy in Andhra Pradesh and how a mass leader like YS Jaganmohan Reddy is born. Mahi V Raghav who directed Yatra directed the sequel too. Yatra was planned on a strict budget and the film ended up as an average grosser. But Yatra 2 is made on a budget of Rs 100 crores. Mahi V Raghav has been offered the amount to complete the project and offer back the first copy. Yatra 2 is completed on a budget of Rs 60 crores and Mahi V Raghav pocketed Rs 40 crores.

Yatra 2 is a costly project and some of the YSRCP leaders have funded for the film. Yatra 2 also has the padayatra episodes of YS Jaganmohan Reddy and the YSRCP leaders arranged people in huge numbers to make the episodes look grand. Yatra 2 is now hitting the screens on February 8th and all the formalities are cleared. Jiiva is reprising the role of YS Jaganmohan Reddy and Mammootty essayed the role of Late YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
