Disney+Hotstar loses a Record number of Subscribers:- Disney+Hotstar has been a leader in the Indian digital market. IPL has brought enough number of new subscribers to the digital platform. As per the reports, Disney+Hotstar has lost close to 8.4 million subscribers in the past six months which is shocking. The platform lost 2 percent subscribers for the quarter that ended in March 2023. This is the second consecutive drop of subscribers for the platform. Disney+Hotstar lost 4.6 million subscribers in the recent quarter.

Since October last year, Disney+Hotstar lost 8.4 million subscribers. It has now 53 million subscribers. Disney+Hotstar attracted subscribers during the live streaming of IPL. With Jio acquiring the rights of IPL, Disney+Hotstar has seen a huge downfall of subscriptions. Jio Cinema is streaming IPL for free. In the quarter of October-December 2022, Disney+Hotstar has lost 3.8 million subscribers.
