Keerthy Suresh locked for Vedhalam Remake:- Megastar Chiranjeevi is ready with a strong lineup of films which are delayed due to the pandemic situation. Chiranjeevi resumed the shoot of Acharya and the entire shoot of the film will be concluded before the end of July. Chiranjeevi will take up the remake of Lucifer from August and Chiranjeevi will complete the shoot of the film in a record time. Mohan Raja is the director and NV Prasad, Ram Charan will jointly produce this remake. The film will release next year. Chiranjeevi also signed Vedhalam remake in the direction of Meher Ramesh.

The shoot of the film starts early next year and the lead actors, technicians are the finalized currently. The names of Sai Pallavi and Keerthy Suresh are considered for the role of Chiranjeevi's sister. The makers now locked Keerthy Suresh for the role and she was paid an advance recently. The actress loved the script and signed the project. Mahati Swara Sagar composes the music and background score. Anil Sunkara will produce this remake of Vedhalam which is set in the backdrop of Kolkata. The film is planned on a massive budget and it will release during the second half of next year.
