Producers Are Not Willing To Release Their Films On OTT:- As the Coronavirus outbreak, the country is facing a bad situation due to the lockdown. For this sudden COVID-19 pandemic, the film industry also as badly impacted. The all film shootings are halted, all theaters were remained shutdown. By this situation the filmmakers are totally confused and clueless about the films release.

P Ram Mohan Rao, the Chairman of Telangana FDC has interacted with the media and expressed his views about the present situation which as impacted the film industry. He said that the lockdown is deeply impacted all the producers of the film industries. And the film business won't be back to normal until next year January.

He further said that 90 percent of the film producers are not willing about their films to release directly on OTT(Over The Top) platforms even the leading OTT players offering a huge amounts to them to grab the exclusive streaming rights. He said, “Even though the money being offered is quite good, it’s still not viable financially for the producers to release their films on OTT platforms alone without the traditional theatrical release. That’s why all the producers, except a few makers of small low budget films, are taking the risk by going the c waiting’ route”.
