Tollywood Wants To Continue Lockdown:- Tollywood exhibitors are well aware of the economic crisis that is created due to the coronavirus outbreak. The lockdown is implemented till April 14th and several producers of Telugu cinema are in plans to release their films soon after the completion of the lockdown. Films like V, Nishabdham, Uppena and Red are ready for release. However, the exhibitors are requesting the distributors and the producers to push the release of these films.

This is because the exhibitors are predicting poor openings and footfalls for the films that will open soon after the crisis. With a huge financial crunch and the fear of coronavirus in public places, it takes some weeks for the situations to turn normal. Hence, film lovers will not step out to watch films in theatres. Running the screens in this crisis is a huge challenge. This would not fetch the minimum footfalls because of which the exhibitors are keen to continue the lockdown of theatres.

The producers will meet after the lockdown comes to an end to finalize things and decisions would be made accordingly.
