New Censor chief for Tollywood

Finally, Telugu Film Industry breathed easy as a new regional officer of Central Board of Film Certification [CBFC] has come in place of Dhanalakshmi who troubled many filmmakers which turned  into controversies too. Vijay Kumar Reddy is the new regional officer of CBFC and he will be scrutinizing the films before issuing the CBFC certificate which is mandatory to show before screening films in theatres.

The outgoing officer Dhanalakshmi troubled Mohan Babu, Manchu Vishnu for their film 'Denikaina Ready'  and later director Ram Gopal Varma expressed his displeasure over Dhanalakshmi's acts.  Also many from the industry were not happy with her and quite a few did lobbying for her to get transferred but that did not happen so soon.

Coming to the new officer, Vijay Kumar is a 1990 batch IAS officer and worked with CBFC from 2004 to 2010. Telugu filmmakers are finally happy with this.
