Allah Rakha Rahman shortly known as AR Rahman has turned an year older today. The Oscar winning music composer will be celebrating his 48th birthday today in Chennai. Rahman is considered one of the best music directors of the country and is widely popular internationally for his contribution to Hollywood flicks such as Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours.

Currently Rahman is working for Imtiaz Ali's Highway, Rajinikanth's Kochadaiiyaan and director Shankar's I. Rahman also has been roped for Shekar Kapur's most prestigious project Paani which is yet to hit the floors.

Rahman has a bad fortune in Tollywood has none of his director Telugu movies scored a hit at box office. Anyways wishing the Mozart of Madras a very happy birthday.
