ANR, 90 and still batting

Akkineni Nageswara Rao continues to take people by surprise. Telugu cinema's very own Devdas, ANR is managing to get younger than Nagarjuna, who had recently celebrated his birthday. If you've seen the first look of Manam, you will know what I mean.

Manam's motion poster takes off on the trend started with Dhoom 3, where Aamir Khan featured in its first look. Amusing everyone is ANR who has taken a completely different route for his next film. He was born in 1924, but the newest look released by Manam makers are showing him as a toddler.

The Akkineni film's story line has a non-linear script it's heard. The stories of the three generations will be shown as past to present, present to past and present to future. In simple words, there will plenty of flash backs and future forwards to this engrossing presentation.

ANR has by now acted in more than 250 films, including the hits Dasara Bullodu, Premabhishekam and Mayabazaar, earning him the distinction of having performed in varied roles. The same tradition is being carried down through Nagarjuna, who is quite versatile himself. Next, even Akhil is eagerly awaiting his debut and, according to dad Nag, will be a part of a wide range of movies.

Nagarjuna had reportedly replaced ANR's old car due to certain problems a month ago, but ANR is happy to consider it a birthday present. A large party is being organized to celebrate Nageswara Rao's birthday.
