Chiru is a star who holds a very special place among the Telugu audiences. He won Nandi Awards for best actor for his performances in Swayam Krushi, Apathbandavudu and Indra. To this day, his roles in Indra and Shankardada MBBS are loved by one and all. Chiru's dancing skills have passed on to his son Ram Charan, who is a rising star himself.

Of course, no one can forget the time Mega star created his own records with the blockbuster Gharana Mogudu. The film was the highest grosser at that time and made Chiranjeevi the highest paid actor in the country. For those who were born in the 1980s, Chiru was a huge part of the growing up years.
