If buzz is to believed, noted film maker Bapu's name has been under consideration for Padma Bhushan award. The sources said that the State Government recommended the name of Bapu for Padma Bhushan. Bapu is one of the critically acclaimed directors and film critics said it was unfortunate that Bapu didn't receive Padma award so far.

Now that Government proposed his name, lets hope that Bapu will get Padma award. Notably, other names under consideration for Padma awards are Dr C Narayana Reddy and Dr D Rama Naidu. The sources said that both were recommended for Padma Vibhushan awards. It is known that Rama Naidu entered Guiness Book of World Records for producing 110 films.
