Andhra Wishesh pays tributes to Jandhyala

If you an avid movie watcher-who can't resist yourself from watching comedy flicks-there's a movie, which cannot be erased off your minds. As series of movies run in your mind to guess it right, you can never ignore those flashy images of Kota Srinivasa Rao's broken spectacles, Brahmanandam's military haircut and Rajendra Prasad-Rajani romantic episodes. Yes, it's the same movie, which introduced the ever green aragundu character to Telugu scene-Aha Naa Pellanta.

Directed by Hasya Brahma (the creator of laughter), Aha Naa Pellanta is one of those movies that make Telugu audience hold their heads high in air whenever a discussion pops up on Indian Cinema. Right from scene one to the climax card, everything was so beautifully etched, including characters, that made audience laugh out their lungs to the core.

It was with this movie, Jandhyala told the world that real comedy doesn't lie in obscene jokes and dark humour, but in clean comedy. Aha Naa Pellanta today completed 25 years. It was on November 27, 1987 the film was released in the state and received thumbs up from critics and even showed its strength at the box office. Today, Aha Naa Pellanta stands one amongst top ten most viewed Telugu films online. Hail Jandhyala for the masterpiece!
