Allu Arvind is one of the finest Producers of Indian Cinema, who is capable enough to dictate terms. He is a filmmaker with his own style of making films. Many survived, sustained, achieved success and become well noted working with Allu Arvind. Irrespective of the success or failures of his films, Allu Arvind does nothing else but makes films. One of the highest revenue generators in the entire Indian Cinema, Amir khan Starrer ‘Ghajini’ is produced under the banner of Geeta Arts. Actress Asin who is introduced even in Bollywood with this film, is ruling the B – Town now. Allu Arvind is one of such film makers, who learn from his every film. After making Block Buster film, ‘Magadheera’, and one of the Biggest Block Buster’s of 2011 ‘100% Love’, Arvind is now producing ‘Badrinath”, with his son, one of the top heroes of Telugu Cinema, Allu Arjun. Costliest film of 2011 ‘Badrinath’ is scheduled for a Release on June 3rd. the Story for this film is given by Chinni Krishna. Chinni Krishna has written story for Mega Star’s ‘Indra’. After the release of ‘Indra’, Chinni Krishna lost his wife. When Chinni Krishna was in depression, Allu Arvind along with Mega Star Chiranjeevi, encouraged the writer, had faith in the story given by him and produced the film.
Arvind is one that producer, who has enough guts to accept that he is making films not out of passion but Cinema is a Livelihood to him and every technician, right from a Production boy to Hero to Director. Son of veteran Comedian ‘Allu Ramalingaiah’, Arvind didn’t wanted to get into films at all. He wanted to start any other Business. In his initial stages of life, Arvind Started a Fertilizer’s Business, succeeded in it, but since he found not much growth in it, he quit that Business.
After being idle for some days Allu Arvind realized even producing films is also a Business and got into Film Making. Along with his father’s friends from the Industry, Vegi Veerraju, Dasari Satyanarayana Murthy, Merla Narayana Murthy and M.V.S Babu Rao, Allu Arvind produced his first film ‘Bantrotu Bhaarya’ in the year 1974. From then, till date, thousands of films in Telugu and Hindi were made by the Producer.
From then there were many films like devude digi vaste (1975), Subhalekha (1982), yamakinkarudu (1982), Hero (1984), Vijetha (1985), Pasivaadi Praanam (1987), Attaku Yamudu Ammayiki Mogudu (1989), Mechanic Alludu (1993), Akkada Abbayi Ikkada Ammayi (1996), Pelli Sandadi, Master (1997), Pardesi (1998), Dadi (2001), Pellam Urelithe, Johny (2003), Andarivadu (2005), Magadheera (2009), 100% Love and Badrinath (2011). These are some of his Telugu films produced. He has made many films in Hindi, including Super hit Ghajini. Arvindji has given many of Block Buster Hits, even to his Brother – in – law, chiranjeevi and even to Ram charan Tej.
Arvindji has also acted in couple of films. You can see him in Chiranjeevi Starrer ‘Chantabbayi’, directed by ‘Jandhyaala’.
Arvind is so down to earth and appreciates every single piece of good work. Once, it so happened that I was hosting an Audio function to which Arvindji was also one of the invitee. Where all others spoke about the film, technicalities, hero, heroine, director, Arvindji was the only person, who appreciated my presentation of the entire event in Telugu. That was one of the lifetime compliments that I have ever got.
All those people who think Producer is the only person who is benefited with a film’s success, should also have to know that Producer is the only one, whose total life even family will be at stake if the film gets Bombed at the Box office.
