Singanamala seeks anticipatory bail

Even as the Hyderabad central crime station police continues to receive cheating complaints on producer-duo Chillara Kalyan and Singanamala Ramesh,  the lawyers of Ramesh, who is on Singanamala, anticipatory bailthe run escaping the police eye, have sought anticipatory bail for him from a Nampally criminal court.
Kalyan and Ramesh are suspected to have close links with Bhanu Kiran, the suspected killer of faction leader Maddelacheruvu Suri.
Police have received the third complaint against the Tollywood duo from Mr Ashwaq, proprietor of Ashwaq United Home Entertainments. The complaint says that he paid Rs.32.25 lakh to Kalyan and Ramesh out of an agreed amount of Rs.50 lakh towards the video rights of the movie Khaleja, a Mahesh Babu starrer.
Mr Ashwaq told police that when they failed to award him the video rights of the movie, he demanded his money back but he was called to the office of Balaji Labs at Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad last August. “They threatened me with dire consequences if I continued to demand my money back,” he said in his complaint. Earlier, police received two such complaints against Ramesh who is at large.
