Janasena and BJP's Long March on February 2nd:- Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan made it clear that his party would travel with BJP in the state to fight for the people against the government of Andhra Pradesh. As of now, Janasena and BJP are opposing the three capital bill introduced by the government of Andhra Pradesh. He is currently in New Delhi meeting various crucial leaders of BJP high command to discuss how Amaravati is ignored and how people of Andhra Pradesh are betrayed. Pawan announced an alliance with BJP and they would join hands during the polls. Pawan wanted all the supporters of Janasena and BJP to come and support the Long March that is planned as a revolt against the government of Andhra Pradesh. A meeting is staged on January 28th in which Janasena and BJP leaders will meet to discuss the arrangements and plans for the Long March. Pawan Kalyan Spends Busy Time in New Delhi:- Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan made it clear that he would merge his party with BJP but he wishes to ink an alliance with the party and will contest together in the polls in the coming days. Pawan Kalyan as of now is quite keen on BJP high command to react against the three capital plan introduced by the AP Government. He wishes that the Centre would halt the process and he flew all the way to Delhi to expose the problems and challenges faced by the people of Andhra Pradesh because of the three capital bill. AP Legislative Council Refers The Capital Bill to Select Committee:- The government of Andhra Pradesh received a major setback after the three capital bill has been referred to the select committee by the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council that is dominated by the opposition party TDP. After a debate for five long hours, the Legislative Council wanted the select committee to resolve the issue. The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council with 58 members had only nine ruling party members and is completely dominated by TDP. The bills are AP Decentralisation and Inclusive Development of All Regions Bill, 2020. AP Government wants three capitals in the state which is opposed by TDP and other opposition parties. The Assembly passed the bill on Monday despite of the huge protests all over the state. Most of them wanted Amaravati to be retained as the capital of Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council Chairman M A Sharrif referred both the bills to the select committee. Heavy Turnout for Telangana Municipal Polls:- The municipal elections are taking place today and the voting is happening at a smooth pace across the state. No unusual or unwanted situations have been registered. In Cyberabad Commissionerate limits, elections are being held for 12 Municipalities and 2 Corporations i.e., Tellapur, Narsingi, Manikonda, Amangal, Shadnagar, Shamshabad, Shankarpally, Bandlaguda Jagir, Nizampet, Thumkunta, Kompally, Gundlapochampally, Medchal, Dundigal. Across the 197 polling locations, there are 726 polling stations. There has been a huge turnout for the elections all over the state. The voting in 120 municipalities and nine municipal corporations in the state witnessed huge turnout. People started reaching the polling booths by 7 AM. The officials predict that the final percentage will go beyond 70%. Polling was delayed in some polling booths of Yadadri and Wyra municipalities due to power supply issues. TRS and Congress workers at ward 6 in Boduppal indulged in a fight over the alleged distribution of money to voters. AP Legislative Council Votes Against Three Capitals:- The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council is dominated by Telugu Desam Party which is currently the opposition party in the state. On Tuesday, they opposed the resolution passed by AP Government on three capitals for the state. The council took up the debate for the entire day. Out of the strength, 27 members from TDP supported and 13 opposed the party. Nine of them opted out of the voting. Two TDP MLCs Pothula Sunitha and Sivanath Reddy voted against the resolution passed by the party. Another MLC Dokka Manikya Varaprasad resigned from his membership before the voting. Samanthakamani and Satrucharla Vijayarama Raju have been absent due to health issues. The debate would resume today about the three capitals bill and the APCRDA Repeat Bill. TDP's main strategy is to delay the bill in the Council so that they can force the government to adjourn both the houses. In this case, AP Government will have to take the ordinance route. The Governor too cannot sign the ordinance when the bill is not passed in the Council. The ruling YSRCP is working hard to make sure that the bill gets passed in the Council today at any cost. Rapaka Varaprasad Suspended from Janasena:- Rapaka Varaprasad is the only MLA that represents Janasena in Andhra Pradesh Assembly. He has been making unusual comments from some time by showing his support for the Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy. The other day, Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan penned an open letter to Rapaka Varaprasad urging him to vote against the three capital rule. Rapaka Varaprasad wasn't bothered about Pawan Kalyan's words and he left YS Jagan in praises yesterday during his speech. After discussing with the leaders, Pawan Kalyan suspended Rapaka Varaprasad from the party. Rapaka Varaprasad previously said that he did not get the needed recognition in Janasena and was staying away from the party activities. After several attempts, Janasena decided to suspend him. Rapaka Varaprasad got elected from Razole constituency and is the only MLA for the party.
