WhatsApp Served A Legal Notice In India:- WhatsApp is one among the most used networking app across the globe. An Indian advocate slammed the mobile messaging app with a legal notice for the emoji. WhatsApp recently introduced 'middle finger' emoji which didnot go well with a section of people. Now Gurmeet Singh, a lawyer based in New Delhi called it illegal and obscene. He sent a legal notice to WhatsApp asking them to remove it within 15 days.

"As per the Indian Penal Code Sections 354 and 509, it is an offence to show obscene, lewd, offensive gestures to females. Use of a lewd, offensive, obscene gesture by anyone is hereby illegal also as aforesaid. As per section 6 of the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act, 1994 showing of the middle finger is also an offence in Ireland," Gurmeet Singh stated in his notice. Gurmeet revealed that he would file criminal case if the emoji will not be removed.
