Swim Chaitanya swim! Indian scores at World Police Games

Chaitanya is on his way to becoming AP's own Milkha Singh. A police constable and a swimmer, Tulsi Chaitanya is competing in the World Police Games in Belfast, Ireland.

That's not all. He even put Indian swimming on the global platform by winning three gold and a silver in the ongoing swimming competitions. At 24 years of age, the young Chaitanya is a head constable from Andhra Pradesh posted in Vijaywada police unit. He will also try his skills in the 50m freestyle and 50 metre backstroke events, well on his way to becoming the fastest police swimmer in the world.

From August 1 to 11, the World Police Games will have India's 34-member central paramilitary forces and state police comprising team compete in the various games.

Additional Director General of police for sports Rajiv Trivedi told PTI that Chaitanya, an excellent sportsman hailing from a humble background, has shown his streak in the last one year.
