England 199/5, slow on scoring at Nagpur

On the first day at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur, where India takes on England in last of the ongoing four test series. England leads the series with 2-1 and this is the last chance for India to equal the visitors. However Ishant Sharma struck early and had both the openers sent back in the first spell itself, when the visitors were just 16 runs.

Another bonus for the home team was Ravindra Jadeja comeback to form. In his classy style the Indian slow left-arm bowler could restrict the mighty in-form Kevin Pietersen from scoring a mighty century which would have been a moral booster to the visitors. He was bowled in for 73 runs. Another pricey wicket grabbed by Jadeja was that of Jonathan Trott who scored 43 runs.

England score at the end of the first day is 199/5. England's Joe Root and Matt Prior are at the crease with 31 and 34 respectively. Day 2 proves to be quite interesting. England will go all out to post a huge total while Indian bowlers will do their best to control them.

However it was a bowlers day at the Vidharbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. India would be more delighted if Jadeja retains his form in batting also.(Wishesh AarKay)
