Cristiano Ronaldo desperately wants to win "Ballon d'Or"

He is perceived to be one of most arrogant and definitely is one of the best footballer in the world. And as the date of declaring the winner of best footballer award Ballon d'Or is nearing he justifies his arrogance by saying that  he would vote for himself to win the if he could, and 'being too humble isn't good'. Cristiano Ronaldo, the unapologetic in a truest sense is a leading candidates for the award, along with 22 other nominees including Lionel Messi, and this year will be able to cast his selection as captain of Portugal.

"If I could, I'd vote for myself," he said to France Football. "I am what I am and I'm happy with that. Being too humble isn't good. In Portugal we say that too much humility is vanity". Ronaldo's position at Real Madrid is uncertain, as he made no secret in September of being unhappy, but he says he is not like other players.

"I play for the passion of football, and for the love of the teams I represent. If I was playing for money, I'd be at another club," he said. "All players love it when teams like Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United or Chelsea dream about them, but that's not in my thoughts." he added further.

Hope the cockiness doesn't cost him the award again.
