Raksha Bandhan:Siblings at London Olympics 2012

The whole of today the entire Wishesh team was just going about in the most jubilant way. As is mostly that we are all busy with our own activity. But today it was different, mainly due to Raksha Bandhan. The entire office was functioning but in festive moods. Infact two of colleagues had even given us a lunch treat as they were celebrating their one year in office. However nothing was keeping me perfectly happy as my goal to have the home page filled with Raksha Bandhan news was getting defeated as evening was approaching.

However Wishesh statistician  came with a novel idea and this was it.  Raksha Bandhan is all about the siblings but of course of the brother and sister but for a change even brothers and sisters need to bond for a better society. Hence we have brought out a list of the prominent siblings participating in the paramount of sporting event London Olympics 2012.LLike it enjoy it but if you despise this effort do leave your comments, so that we do dare many more for your information.

Tennis has the maximum number of siblings participating this year. Four couples, two sets of brothers and sisters each, are to partake in the men's and women's doubles. Venus and Serena Williams, and Bob and Mike Bryan are from the US and both pairs are among the favorites to win gold at the Games. British duo Andy and Jamie Murray will play as a team and the former will also play in  singles  event. The last pair are Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska will play in the women's doubles in London with her younger sister Urszula.

Another Great Britain's pair are rowers siblings and they are the Richard and Peter Chambers.  The Chambers siblings are going for gold in today’s lightweight men’s four at Eton Dorney.  Swimming particularly seems to inspire a healthy hereditary competitive spirit, with 11 sibling duos hitting the pool this year. Then we have Annette And Alexander Edmondson, the first brother-sister pair to represent Australia in cycling, Annette and Alexander aren't afraid to use sibling rivalry to their advantage.

The entire 10,500 or more athletes from 205 countries participating in more than 302 events are sure to make their dreams come true. Some may grab honours, some may despair, some may entertain, while some may remorse and more, all this in one place in this universe is London, for the moment. Fans of various countries are turning up for the events and it is a global metropolis out there in London. Do keep tab on this edition of the latest happenings in London Olympics 2012.
