India avoided the follow-on as Virat Kohli and Ashwin took the hosts over the 400-run mark. At the end of first session Indians were 376/6. Virat Kohli fell to Devendra Bishoo after a fluent half century. Earlier it was Sachin Tendulkar who again disappointed India crowd, got out for 94.

The day’s play started with Sachin and Laxman on the crease, but laxman fell on the first delivery he faced to Fidel edwards. Then sachin was on a swing scoring runs, hitting boundaries and sixes. But it was Ravi Rampaul who broke a billion hearts when he had Sachin Tendulkar (94) caught by Sammy at second slip.
