ICC rankings put India in 2nd slot

icc-rankingThe latest rankings of the International Cricket Council (ICC) have put India in the second place after Australia. Australia retains the top slot with 128 points followed by India with 121 points. The World Cup runners - up Sri Lanka is in third place with 118 points. South Africs was relegated to the fourth place.

In the individual rankings, South African duo of Hashim Amla and AB de Villiers continue to occupy the top two positions in batting. While Sri Lanka's Tillekeratne Dilshan moved ahead to the third position, Sangakkara has reached the fourth.

Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir moved up to 9th and 10th positions respectively while the man of the World Cup Yuva Raj continues to be slogging at 17th place.

In the rankings for ODI bowlers, New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori, Zimbabwe’s Ray Price, England's Graeme Swann, and South Africa's Dale Steyn are in  the first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.
