India seals the ODI series against West Indies after second victory:- West Indies is touring in India currently and the ODI series is taking place in restricted stadiums. After a defeat in the first ODI, West Indies won the toss in the second ODI and elected to bowl first. Indian batsmen failed to withstand strong before the pace of the West Indies bowlers and tumbled down for 237 for the loss of 9 wickets in their 50 overs. Suryakumar Yadav (64) played a valuable innings and KL Rahul (49), Deepak Hooda (29) have been successful with the bat among the Indian batsmen while others returned back to the dressing room for low scores. Odean Smith (2/29), Alzarri Joseph (2/36) and Jason Holder (1/37) took the wickets among the bowlers.
Chasing a small total of 238, West Indies failed to maintain a strong hold in the second innings. West Indies tumbled down for 193 in just 46 overs. Sharmarh Brooks (44), Akeal Hosein (34) and Sai Hope (27) are the top scorers for the side. Prasidh Krishna (4/12), Shardul Thakur (2/41) and Deepak Hooda (1/24) have been exceptional with the ball for India. Team India won the match by 44 runs and sealed the series by 2-0. The final ODI will take place tomorrow in the Narendra Modi stadium, Ahmedabad. After completing the ODI series, India and West Indies will play test matches and T20s.
