Third Test Between India And Australia Turns Out To Be A Draw:- India and Australia headed for a tough fight in the ongoing test series. After losing badly in the first test, India bounced back with a victory in the second test and leveled the series. The third test of the Gavaskar-Border trophy ended up as a draw today. India missed several key players and headed for a fight with young blood. Australia won the toss and the host reported record runs in both their innings. India fell short of 96 runs in their first innings and they had a target of 408 runs before them.

Chasing a total, India stood strong before the pace of Australian bowlers. Rohit Sharma (52) and Shubman Gill (31) opened on a strong note and Cheteshwar Pujara (77), Rishabh Pant (97) changed the game with their partnership. After their departure, Hanuma Vihari and Ravichandran Ashwin ended up as the heroes of the day without losing their wickets. They surprised everyone by batting for 43 overs for the day after which the third test ended up as a draw. Josh Hazlewood (2/39), Nathan Lyon (2/114) have been good among the Australian bowlers. Steve Smith is named as the Player of the Match and the fourth test between India and Australia will take place from January 15th.
