Chennai Super Kings Staffers Tested Positive With Coronavirus:- Ahead of the commencement of IPL 2020, the franchises, staff and the players flew down to UAE. The coronavirus tests are conducted before they boarded the flight and on the arrival for every player and staffer. In a shocking move, a bowler along with staff members of Chennai Super Kings team are tested positive with coronavirus. It is heard that the bowler is a pace bowler who played for Indian cricket team. The entire team of Chennai Super Kings will undergo coronavirus test before the tournament commences. The team's quarantine time is now extended till September 1st.

Chennai Super Kings along with Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians reached the United Arab Emirates on August 21st and are in quarantine. Chennai Super Kings underwent a brief training camp in Chennai before they headed to UAE. As per the rules, all the players will be tested on the first, third and the sixth days of the quarantine period. All those who are tested negative in all these three tests will be allowed to attend the practice sessions. The coronavirus scare turned as a massive comeback for Chennai Super Kings. 60 matches are planned in 53 days and IPL 2020 will commence from September 19th in three locations of UAE.
