IPL 2020 To Be Held In UAE:- With the world shattered due to coronavirus, several sports events are canceled. The 20 World Cup is pushed to an unknown and undisclosed date. As per the ongoing speculation, the Indian Premiere League for the year which was planned between March and May will now be held in October and November in UAE. BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah met the members of the apex council on Friday and discussed about the tournament. The ICC has officially postponed the T20 World Cup which was scheduled to take place this year. BCCI is in plans to check with the Indian government about conducting IPL 2020.

Else, the tournament would move to UAE. BCCI informed the apex council that no domestic cricket tournaments would be held for the rest of this year. 38 teams play domestic cricket through various tournaments and all of them are now canceled with the arrival of coronavirus pandemic. BCCI also made it clear that no international cricket and tournaments would take place in India this year. They are keen to hold IPL 2020 as there is lot of stake involved. Going with the updates, the IPL 2020 may be pushed to UAE as the new cases of coronavirus are increasing badly.

With the ongoing England and West Indies series, there are good hopes on the happening of IPL 2020 this year among the fans. BCCI is considering UAE because of the available infratructure, environment and the stadiums.
